Booking

More on booking

What if I need to cancel?

Plans change, we get it. If you can't make your class, please cancel at least 12 hours before in the app or on our website, so someone on the waitlist can have your spot. Any later and the class still counts. If you don't make it at all, you'll also be charged £5.

What if I'm running late?

It happens. Please try to get here 10 minutes before class, especially for your first one. We close the doors 5 minutes after the start so everyone gets a proper warm-up. After that, unfortunately, we can't let anyone in and the class counts as used. If you need to talk to us about a missed class, email hello@wildfoxpilates.co.uk.

How far ahead can I book?

Members can book 10 days ahead and everyone else 7 days ahead, in the app or on our website.

What if a class is full?

Join the waitlist. Up to 2 hours before class, the first person on it is booked in automatically when a spot opens, and we'll text and email you. So please only join if you're happy to be booked in.

I was booked in from the waitlist and now I can't make it. What do I do?

Cancel as soon as you can. Joining a waitlist means you're happy to be booked in, so if things change, please cancel at least 12 hours before class to keep your credit. If you're booked in less than 12 hours before, you're already inside the cancellation window and the usual rules apply.

How do I book a class?

Book on the timetable on this website. You'll set up an account the first time you book, and use it to sign in next time.

Can I bring a friend?

Of course. They'll just need to book their own spot, and if it's their first time with us they can use the intro offer. It would be lovely to meet them.

Who is Pilates for?

Pretty much everyone. Grumbling backs, too many hours at a desk, running niggles that have caught up with you, or just wanting to feel a bit stronger. Not sure if it's right for you? Drop us a line at hello@wildfoxpilates.co.uk and we'll talk it through.

What's a reformer class like?

The reformer is a sliding bed with springs, and it looks more dramatic than it is. Over 50 minutes your teacher takes you through a sequence of exercises and comes round to help, correct and cheer you on. It's challenging in the best possible way, and a lot of fun.

I'm completely new to Pilates. Where should I start?

Fox Fundamentals is made for you. We'll break down the core Pilates principles so you can build real awareness in your body, then take time with the essential exercises so you can feel what you're doing. Over time the shapes and patterns repeat and everything clicks into place. We all started somewhere.

Is Pilates for men?

Yes. Pilates was invented by a man, Joseph Pilates, and the reformer doesn't mind who's on it. It's control, balance and a lot of work for your core. You'll always be welcome.

What do I need to bring?

Grip socks, water and a small towel, as some days it's a hot one. Something comfy to move in (no jeans, please). We'll take care of the rest.

What if I don't have grip socks?

No problem, we sell them at the studio. Please wear them for every class: they keep the reformers clean and stop you slipping.

What happens at my first class?

Please try to get here 10 minutes early. We'll sign you in, show you round, explain the springs and set you up on your reformer before class starts. Let us know about any injuries, and ask us anything.

What if I don't like it?

That's absolutely fine. The founder intro is short on purpose. If reformer isn't your thing, or we're not quite what you're looking for, you'll know in ${word(FOUNDER_INTRO.classes)} classes.

Should I eat before class?

A light snack an hour or two before is ideal. A big meal just before class can feel uncomfortable on the reformer.

Can I come if I have an injury?

Usually, yes. If it's chronic or severe, check with your doctor before starting anything new. Not sure? Email hello@wildfoxpilates.co.uk and tell us what's going on. We're not doctors, but we'll know whether Pilates will help or hinder. If it's recent or severe, we may suggest a 1:1 first.

I'm pregnant or have recently had a baby. Can I still come?

Yes, you're very welcome. If you're new to reformer, please start before your third trimester (week 28), with Fox Fundamentals, our slower class, or a private session. If you're already coming to class, you can carry on: Fox Signature until week 28, then Fox Fundamentals. Please let your teacher know before class so we can give you options as you go. After having a baby, please wait until you've been cleared to exercise at your postnatal check. If you've got any concerns, it's worth checking with your midwife or GP first. Fox Cubs, our postnatal class, is on the way.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes, you'll need to be 16 or over to come to class, and if you're under 18 we'll need a parent's consent.

What's the difference between Fox Fundamentals and Fox Signature?

Fundamentals teaches the patterns, Signature explores them. Signature moves a little faster, with deeper sequencing and more options to challenge you. Fundamentals has fewer layers, a slower pace and more time for detail.

Do I need to do Fox Fundamentals before Fox Signature?

No. You don't need a certain number of classes to unlock Signature, and it's really up to you. We'd recommend Fundamentals if you've never done reformer before or you've had a long break. If you've done 5 or more recent classes at another studio, Signature will be fine, though the cueing might take a class to get used to. Not sure? Ask us, we love that chat.

How many Fundamentals classes should I do before moving to Signature?

That's different for everyone. Most people do 5 to 10 classes before mixing it up, but you might be ready sooner. There's no ladder. Once we get to know you, we can help guide that if you want us to. And lots of regulars come back to Fundamentals on purpose, because it just feels good.

I'm not flexible. Will I struggle?

No. Flexibility is something Fox Fundamentals builds, not something you need to start. Mobility is often strength in disguise, and we work on that too.

How hard is it?

Fundamental doesn't mean easy, and the more body aware you become, the harder Pilates gets. But this isn't about feeling wrecked. No "pain is progress" here. In Signature, the challenge really is up to you: we'll offer options, and if we think your body can go there, we'll go there with you. Zero pressure.

Can I drop in for a single class?

Yes, a drop-in class is £30. Most regulars find a pack or a membership better value. See all our prices.

I'm pregnant. Which class should I book?

If you're already coming to class, Fox Signature is a great continuation until your third trimester (from week 28), and after that our slower Fox Fundamentals classes, where we'll adapt exercises as you go. If you're new to reformer, please start before week 28, with Fox Fundamentals or a private session. From the third trimester lying on your back isn't recommended, and someone completely new needs more support than we can give in a class to keep them safe. Either way, please let your teacher know before class starts.

How does the founder intro work?

3 classes for £39, so you can see if reformer is for you. Book Fox Fundamentals or Fox Signature, whichever fits your week. There's no further commitment after that.

What is the founder intro?

Our opening offer, for a limited time: 3 classes for £39. It's for anyone who hasn't been to a class with us before, with no joining fee and no further commitment. Once it ends, our intro pack is 3 classes for £49.

Is there a joining fee or a minimum term?

No joining fee, and no minimum term on memberships. You can cancel any time from your account, in the app or on our website, and your membership runs to the end of the 4 weeks you've paid for.

If I use different emails to get more intro packs, will you notice?

Yep. We commend the honesty, but we'll cancel any remaining intro bookings and you'll need to pick another option. Cheeky.

Do you offer concessions?

No, we don't offer concessions. Memberships are the best-value way to come regularly.

Do unused membership classes roll over?

No, unused classes don't roll over into the next 4 weeks. If you'd rather come as and when, a class pack gives you more time to use your classes.

Can I pause my membership?

Yes, for up to 2 months in any 12. Ask us at least a day before your billing date. You're not charged while paused. Need longer, for an injury or a new baby, say? Just ask.

How do I cancel my membership?

Sign in to your account, in the app or on our website, and cancel your membership there. You can do it any time, there's no minimum term, and nothing else to fill in. Your membership stays active until the end of the 4 weeks you've paid for, and no more payments are taken. If you'd rather keep your place, you can pause instead. If you're a founder member, cancelling means losing the founder rate.

Can I change tier?

Yes, whenever you like, up or down. Just ask us. Founder members keep the founder rate on whichever tier they move to.

How long do I keep the founder rate?

For as long as you stay a member, including through pauses and tier changes. If you cancel and come back later, it's the standard rate.

When am I charged?

Memberships are billed every 4 weeks, by card, until you cancel. That's 13 payments a year, not 12. There's no joining fee and no minimum term.

Can I choose when the gift card arrives?

Yes. When you buy, add their name and a message and pick the day it's emailed to them. Send it straight away, or schedule it for the birthday itself.

What can they spend a gift card on?

Anything we sell: classes, packs, memberships, privates, and the intro offer if they're new to us. It lasts 12 months and can't be swapped for cash.

How do they use it?

They add it to their Wild Fox account, in the app or on our website, and the balance is there to spend.

Can I buy a gift card?

Yes. Gift cards have a money value, last 12 months and can be spent on anything we sell, including the intro offer if the person is new to us. See gifts.

The studio

More on the studio

Who runs Wild Fox Pilates?

Rose Reynolds, our co-founder and lead instructor. Rose teaches every class at launch, and more teachers will join as the studio grows.

When do you open?

Classes start in early November 2026, on Canford Lane in Westbury-on-Trym.

Where are you?

5-7 Canford Lane, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol BS9 3DB. We're right on the high street in the middle of the village, by the roundabout, a few shops up from FED and opposite the Grupo Lounge.

Is there parking?

Yes. There's free parking right outside on Canford Lane, with a 1-hour limit, which works because class is 50 minutes. There's also parking at Westbury Methodist Church, 5 minutes' walk away, 7 days a week with a 3-hour maximum stay.

Is there a changing area?

Not a designated one, no, just our toilet, which is just about big enough to change in. We don't have showers either, so bring a towel if you want one. There are cupboards for your shoes and things, and a water cooler (bring a bottle).

When is the studio open?

The studio opens 10 minutes before every class and closes after the last one, so the timetable is our opening hours. Classes run through the day, with early and late slots for anyone working nine to five.

How are your teachers trained?

Properly. Rose is a STOTT certified instructor in mat and reformer, and has completed STOTT's Advanced training in both. She's also done two further courses, one in pre and postnatal Pilates and one in injuries and special populations. Every teacher who joins us is reformer qualified, with at least a year's teaching behind them.

Accessibility

Our accessibility page

Is the studio accessible?

The entrance and the path in are step-free, and our toilet is on the same floor. Unfortunately the doorways aren't wide enough for wheelchair access to the reformers, so if you have specific mobility needs, please email hello@wildfoxpilates.co.uk and we'll see where and how we can support you. More on our accessibility page.

Is there a step at the entrance?

No, the entrance is step-free, straight from the pavement.

Do you have an accessible toilet?

We have a toilet on the ground floor, and it's a little on the snug side. If you have specific mobility needs, please email hello@wildfoxpilates.co.uk and we'll be very happy to help.

Private sessions

More on private sessions

How long do I have to use my sessions?

Your three sessions last 6 months from the day you buy the pack.

Do I need a private before joining a class?

No. Most people start in Fox Fundamentals and do just fine. A private is there if you'd like to start one to one, or if you're coming back from an injury and want us to see how you move first.

Do you do private sessions?

Yes. 1:1s are sold in packs of three, and they are a good start if you have an injury, are pregnant or would just like some one-to-one time on the reformer first. Please cancel at least 24 hours before to keep the session. See private sessions.

How do I book a private session?

Email hello@wildfoxpilates.co.uk and tell us a bit about what you're after, and about any injuries. We'll find a time that works and confirm it with you. For now, all privates are with Rose.

The app

Can I book on the website, or only in the app?

You can use either. They're the same booking system, so anything you book in one shows up in the other.

I'm having trouble logging in. What do I do?

Try resetting your password from the sign-in screen first. If that doesn't do it, email us and we'll sort it out.
